Last night at the Sears Drama Festival awards night, Danforth won three awards.  Two students won awards; Call and Ruby won an award as well as the cast won an award.  Congratulations to all.  T. Neub

Sears Drama Festival Awards meeting today at Monarch Park CI!  This is a reminder to the Sears Drama Festival cast and crew of the awards celebration at Monarch Park CI tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be food and refreshments and the adjudicator will be there presenting awards to schools in our district.  T. Hear ye!  Hear ye!  Student Success Day is this Thursday, April 2nd.  Make sure to visit your teachers in the afternoon to catch up on your work, get extra help and enter to win a movie prize package.  J. Vetsis

On Thursday April 16th the Chequity Club is organizing a “vow of silence” to take a stand for all the millions of people around the world whose voices are not heard.  Participants will not speak for a 24 hour period.  To sign up visit Ms. Fludder in Room C34 by April 13th.  T. Fludder

Danforth’s Badminton team travels to Northern SS today for their last regular season match.  Players are to be released at 1:20 p.m.  Please meet at Room Y02, the Phys Ed office.  T. Beardwood

A reminder to the Danforth Table Tennis team that practice is Tuesday and Wednesday this week in the South Gym.  H. Kwan

Congratulations to Danforth’s DD Basketball team for winning gold at the Toronto Police Services Special Needs Basketball Tournament on Friday.  Special congratulations to Dylon Harker for winning the MVP award.  A fun day was had by all students who cheered the team on to a decisive victory!  Go Red Hawks!  H. Attention all Grade 11 and 12 students with an IEP!  Today is the last day to return your permission forms for the trip to Ryerson University this Wednesday.  If you are interested in attending this workshop on the transition to college or university, please hand in your form to Ms. Cotton in Room B67, the Special Eduction office, today.  J. Congratulations to Metro Science Fair winners!!  On Saturday 18 Danforth students spent the day at the very prestigious Metro Science Fair.  Frank Nguyne and Nabiha Tahsin got a silver and the “Environment Prize” for their energy generating shoes.  Max Musing and Evan Farrell got a gold for simulating evolving intelligence and they will go to the National Science Fair in Fredericton, New Brunswick!!  R. In celebration of Earth Hour, Danforth Eco Schools, would ask that all classes please turn off any unnecessary lights and electronic equipment for one hour from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. today.  Thank you.  T. Fludder
